The Haifa Magistrate's Court rejected the police's request to extend the detention of a massage parlor employee who was arrested in a police raid in Hadera, ruling that there was no justification for her detention. Judge Nurit Herzman Avi-Yitzhak noted in her decision that engaging in prostitution is not a criminal offense, and ordered her release on the condition of being removed from the premises.
Jazan Region Police, in coordination with the General Department of Community Security and Combating Human Trafficking Crimes, arrested two expatriates for practicing prostitution in a residential building. Public Security explained via its account on the social networking site “x” that they were arrested, legal procedures were taken against them, and they were referred to the Public Prosecution.
