Migration into the EU will fall by 30 percent by early 2025
Significantly fewer people crossed the EU's external borders irregularly in the first three months of 2025 compared to the previous year, according to data from Frontex, the EU's border and coast guard agency.
Irregular crossings into Slovenia plunge
Irregular migrations into the EU have been declining since last year and Slovenia is no exception to the trend. In the first three months of the year the Slovenian police handled 3,876 irregular border crossings, down 60% on a year ago, the latest police statistics show.
