Irish Road Bowling event held on the streets of Salem

SALEM, W.Va. (WBOY) — People from all over West Virginia traveled to Salem on Sunday to learn about and play a unique sport. Irish Road Bowling is a mixture of bowling, golf and other sports. The goal is to toss a steel ball as far as you can then mark that spot with a piece of chalk. At the marked spot athletes throw the ball again tossing and marking the ball further down the road.
