Ireland reports rise in E. coli and Listeria infections
Ireland has seen an increase in E. coli, Listeria and Campylobacter infections according to recently released data.Figures come from a report published by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) that includes foodborne illnesses in the third quarter of 2025.There were lower rates in July to September for Cryptosporidium and norovirus compared to the same period in 2024, while Salmonella and Shigella infections were largely unchanged.
