Iran cracks down on international news organizations
The directive requires mandatory language on submitted content and puts responsibility for noncompliance on the news outlet, the ministry said.
Iran has expanded restrictions on distribution of news content from the country, directing international news outlets to restrict use of their content by Israeli media.
A directive issued to international news outlets based in Tehran specified mandatory language to be included on all submitted content, including photos, videos, reports, and other media productions.
The Associated Press spokesman said that the "AP, like all international news media operating inside Iran, are subject to their new restriction" and "continues to produce strong, independent journalism under challenging conditions.
Iran expanded restrictions on the distribution of information content from the country by ordering international media to impose restrictions on the use of its content by Israeli media.
