Hope for new approach to Parkinson's symptoms
A 47-year-old man was the first in the world to be treated outside of a study setting with a new technique for the symptoms of Parkinson's disease, Amsterdam UMC reports. This technique is called Adaptive DBS (aDBS) and delivers so-called pulses (shocks) to the brain when necessary.
