It all started with two confiscated mobile phones in Sweden. Then local police officers made a discovery – with global consequences. Now there were 15 arrests in four countries.
The police services of Sweden, Spain, Australia, and Europol have jointly dismantled a large global criminal network that was laundering money and trafficking drugs on a massive scale. The countries involved announced this at a press conference at Europol in The Hague. To date, 1.2 tons of drugs and over €4 million worth of goods have been seized. Fifteen suspects have been arrested.
