Former RTL Boss Helmut Thoma Died at the Age of 86

The former RTL boss Helmut Thoma is dead. He died of heart failure on his 86th birthday in Vienna on 3 May, as his family told the Austrian news agency APA.

The comedian gives the responsibility at the Casinotheater Winterthur. And private television pioneer Helmut Thoma died.

With foreign currency such as "The worm must taste the fish and Helmut Thoma, not the fisherman, garnished his skill as a programmer. Now the Viennese, who made it from the evening school to Dr. jur. and made RTL the most successful TV station in Europe, died at 86 years.

He was considered the "king of German private television": Helmut Thoma. The ex-RTL boss made the station successful in the 80s and 90s. Now he died at the age of 86.

The Austrian brought RTL to the track of success and created a novel TV experience. The quality was always secondary, and Thoma knew that of course.

He was considered a program pioneer, his wife simply called him "Mister RTL". But the life of Helmut Thoma away from the spotlight was hardly less spectacular.
