International Cocaine Trafficking: Last Day of Appeal in Côte D'ivoire

In April 2022, the Ivorian police carried out a record seizure of three tons of cocaine in Abidjan and San Pedro. Nineteen people had been arrested and tried at first instance before the criminal, economic and financial centre. In May 2024, thirteen of them received a maximum sentence of ten years in prison. They appealed and their trial ended on Monday 14 July before the Court of Appeal of Abidjan.
