International aid: the deaths caused by the withdrawal of the United States

An additional 18 million cases of malaria per year, resulting in more than 160,000 deaths. An estimated 200,000 children paralyzed each year because of polio. A million children without treatment for severe malnutrition. This is an initial estimate of the consequences of the interruption of US development aid.
