Intel Stock Pops As Analyst Sounds Alarm On Potential Apple Partnership
- On Friday, TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said Apple Inc. might add Intel Corp. as a supplier to ship its lowest-end M-series processor by the second or third quarter of 2027.
- To bolster supply-chain resiliency, Apple Inc. is seeking a second advanced-node supplier as it currently partners exclusively with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company for M-series chips.
- Apple Inc. has signed an NDA with Intel Corp. and obtained the 18AP advanced-node PDK 0.9.1GA to progress performance-power-area simulations, while awaiting PDK 1.0/1.1 scheduled for 1Q26.
