Influenza Hit Daily Functioning Harder Than COVID-19 in Japanese Healthcare

A prospective cohort of 1,454 Japanese healthcare workers in the 2024/2025 season found influenza was associated with more severe and longer-lasting functional impairment than COVID-19, with associations attenuated after adjustment for prior pandemic infection.
