IndiGo Extends Saudi Arabia Flight Cancellations; Riyadh Services Suspended Till Oct 31
On Friday, IndiGo extended flight suspensions to four Saudi Arabian cities amid regional security concerns. Riyadh flights are cancelled until October 31, while services to Jeddah, Dammam, and Madinah remain suspended until October 27.
IndiGo cited an evolving security situation in the Middle East for these cancellations. Akasa Air, Air India, and Air India Express have similarly extended flight suspensions, indicating a broader industry response to regional conditions.
Affected Customers can opt for a full refund or reschedule journeys at no additional cost. IndiGo is notifying passengers through registered contact details and advises travelers to verify flight status before proceeding to the airport.
"Safety and well-being of our customers and crew remain our highest priority," IndiGo stated. The airline is closely monitoring developments and coordinating with relevant authorities to assess the evolving situation.
Customers are advised to check flight status periodically as IndiGo coordinates with authorities on the situation. Airlines continue monitoring and reviewing operations in response to regional conditions, maintaining current travel advisories for specified dates.
