Indiana’s Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark surge to 1-2 in WNBA All-Star fan voting
Boston and Clark lead a weighted All-Star vote that gives fans 50% of the final starter selection, the league said.
Indiana Fever center Aliyah Boston and guard Caitlin Clark now lead WNBA All-Star fan voting with 683,996 and 670,510 votes respectively after Wednesday's second round of returns elevated them to the top two spots.
Defending WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces fell to third with 659,057 votes after leading initial returns, while Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers ranks fourth with 640,026 votes.
Fans account for 50% of the total selection process, with player and media votes each comprising 25%, as New York Liberty forward Breanna Stewart and Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese rank among the top vote-getters.
The voting deadline arrives Saturday at 11:59 p.m. ET, after which head coaches will select 12 reserves before the July 25 All-Star Game at United Center in Chicago.
New this year, two WNBA legends will serve as honorary general managers to select teams, while head coaches will be determined by the teams with the best records following July 10 games.
