Indiana town built by railroads, then abandoned, now just name on a map

Summary by Ground News
Anita, Indiana, was named after an infant girl named Anita Blinn. The now-defunct Indianapolis Southern Railway built a station just west of Trafalgar in 1906. The station quickly grew from a simple station into a thriving farm community. The Illinois Central Railroad did not see the value in the station.
