- He was received at Kempegowda International Airport by M B Patil, Karnataka Minister for Large & Medium Industries, and senior government officials, who presented a sandalwood replica of an elephant.
- The visit comes as India and Germany mark 25 years of strategic partnership and 75 years of diplomatic relations, with bilateral trade crossing the $50 billion mark and progress in semiconductors, telecommunications, and digitalisation.
