- Government officials have not published the suspension directive, despite 2024 Telecommunications Rules requiring such orders be issued only in "unavoidable circumstances."
- The Internet Freedom Foundation criticized the secrecy, citing a 2020 Supreme Court judgment mandating published reasons for suspensions to protect freedom of speech under the Indian Constitution.
