Increases the number of neurodivergent patients in dental consultations: specialists call for adaptation of care

In Chile, 1 in 51 children have Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and up to 20% of the world's population is neurodivergent, however, less than 5% of dental clinics in the country have adequate protocols to care for these patients. In Temuco, specialists warn that 3 out of 10 children in consultation present some neurodivergence and that fear of the dentist is a barrier for 40% of patients.
