The latest epidemiological bulletin issued by the Ministry of Health indicates that as of 22 August, 41 cases of myasis in humans are recorded in Mexico due to the bore worm, 36 of which are concentrated in the state of Chiapas, three in Campeche and one in Tabasco and Chiapas. Seven of the cases were presented in Tapachula, which received medical care at the Regional Hospital of that city.
