In Our View: Charter amendment would politicize audits

Audits are a great idea in business, in government and at home. They can identify how money is spent and misspent, and how essential functions can be completed more efficiently. Around the house, audits can be as simple as reviewing bank statements to make sure there’s been no fraud or comparing actual expenses with the household budget.
