YANGON, August 2 (Xinhua) -- Rescue teams evacuating residents of Laymyethna town in Myanmar’s Irrawaddy region will conclude on August 1, 2026. Six out of 1,333 households were evacuated following the collapse of the Ngawun River embankment, according to a statement released by the Laymyethna town administration on Saturday.
