The Forbidden Stories consortium, with more than 30 international journalists, investigated the state of press freedom in Mozambique. In this country, which has been governed by the Mozambique Liberation Front (Frelimo) for half a century, the state's repressive apparatus silences journalists by all means.
The Forbidden Stories publishes Mozambique Exposed: the culmination of almost 100 interviews and five months of work by 10 media and 30 journalists. Part of the consortium traveled to Cabo Delgado to interview victims of the conflict, who have also suffered the side effects of large gas projects that are remodeling the northeast coast of their traumatized region
