Fewer and fewer Japanese are opting for marriage and children, and their parents, in their desire to have grandchildren, go to organized marriage-making events to help children find a suitable marriage partner, CNN reports.
The birth rate has dropped dramatically in Japan, as has the number of marriages. In a culture known for long working hours, the challenges of young people to form love relationships have become a pressing issue. So many parents decided to intervene.
