In Guangxi Province of China, eight months of drought tear the earth apart.

The drought devours the autonomous region of Guangxi, in southwestern China. According to the latest surveys, precipitation has reached its lowest level since 1961. Some areas have not recorded a drop in rain in eight months. These conditions affect the sugar cane industry in a province considered to be the sugarpot of the Middle Empire.
