The "Torah Lovers" Yeshiva conferred ordination on Rabbi Tadag Cleary, who studied for almost a decade at a prestigious yeshiva in Israel and came out of the closet. The decision marks a breakthrough, but is not without halachic controversy. The yeshiva rabbi: "He is being ordained for who he is, he is not a symbol." Cleary: "Living as a truly religious person also means living as a whole person."
