The province of Imbabura enters its fifth week of protests and roadblocks on Monday, October 20, as part of the mobilization to reject the elimination of diesel subsidies and other social demands. The situation remains in a climate of uncertainty, while dialogues between the Government and the indigenous leadership are still pending.
The national strike called by Conaie for the elimination of the diesel subsidy affects carriers in Imbabura and leaves losses.
