EU Commission will 'assess' UK–France deal on Channel migrant return
The European Commission said it would review the UK–France migrant returns deal before it can take effect, as concerns mount among other EU countries over its potential impact on the bloc’s asylum system.
British Prime Minister Starmer and French President Macron have agreed an agreement to combat irregular migration on the English Channel.


According to media reports, an agreement is to be reached at the British-French government summit to enable return to France.
