At IKEA Ghent, more than 20 employees struck work this morning, according to the socialist union BBTK. The employees are striking to address high workloads and staff shortages. Strikes had also previously taken place at the branches in Liège, Wilrijk, Zaventem, Mons, and Anderlecht. Approximately 500 people work in Ghent.

Employees at IKEA’s Zaventem and Anderlecht branches have begun strike action over intense workloads and poor communication from management. Despite the protests, both stores remain open, with staff free to decide whether to join the strike or continue working.
