IEE Encourages Recourse to the Constitutional Court to Interpret the Extent to Which Budgets Can Be Extended

The Institute of Economic Studies (IEE) has raised the possibility of appealing to the Constitutional Court, through a possible appeal to the budget extension regulations in Spain, with the fundamental objective of creating a legal framework to regulate these types of situations in the future. Formally, the government of Pedro Sánchez has not thrown in the towel and still aspires to present a new draft Budgets for 2025 if it achieves the necessary political support.
