The Israeli military ended the reservist's service and confiscated his weapon after he rammed a praying Palestinian man who was unharmed, amid one of the most violent years in the West Bank, UN data shows.

- The Israeli military said the reservist acted in severe violation of his authority, and authorities confiscated the soldier's weapon after the incident, the military said.
- Video aired on Palestinian TV shows a man in civilian clothing with a gun slung over his shoulder driving an off-road vehicle into a man praying, and the Palestinian man underwent hospital checks and was discharged home unhurt.
- The military said the reservist's service was terminated after footage was received, while Israeli media reported he is held under house arrest and Israeli police did not immediately comment to Reuters.
- UN data show 2025 was among the most violent years for Israeli civilian attacks against Palestinians, with more than 750 injuries and over a thousand Palestinian deaths between Oct 7, 2023 and Oct 17, 2025 while 57 Israelis were killed.
