Israel says it killed Hezbollah operative in east Lebanon
LEBANON, AUG 6 – The Israel Defense Forces killed a senior Hezbollah commander linked to rocket attacks from Syria as part of ongoing efforts that have eliminated over 230 operatives, the military said.
- Between July 28 and August 3, 2025, the Israel Defense Forces conducted operations across southern Lebanon targeting Hezbollah in 14 locations, some multiple times.
- Claiming ceasefire violations, Israel states Hezbollah was rebuilding sites in violation of understandings between Israel and Lebanon since November 27.
- The Israeli military said it destroyed about 90 rocket launchers, 40 weapons storage facilities, 40 Hezbollah military installations, 20 headquarters, 14 targets in Beirut, five weapons production sites, and three training camps.
