STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, honors the six million Jewish people killed in the Holocaust and the courage of those who resisted. This year, it will be observed from sundown on Wednesday, April 23 to sundown on Thursday, April 24.
