GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. Summer reservations will become available soon for visitors to hike to Hanging Lake after the trail to the lake was improved last year. The hike-by-reservation Hanging Lake Trail was closed last year for construction aimed at fortifying the path damaged by water and debris in the wake of the 2020 Grizzly Creek fire. While construction continues, keeping the trail closed, online reservations are scheduled to open at 8 a.m. Monday in advance of the trail's expected debut at the start of July.
