- According to the ICC, Pakistan was found 11 overs short "after time allowances were taken in consideration." Under the ICC Code of Conduct, players face a maximum 50 per cent penalty for such minimum over-rate offences.
- Consequently, Pakistan sits in ninth place at the bottom of the World Test Championship standings with a 4.63 points percentage. Match referee Ranjan Madugalle of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel imposed the sanctions.
