On 2 January the formal invitation of the Republic to the three candidates for the privatization of the TAP, Lufthansa, IAG and Air France-KLM continued to present their non-binding proposals for the purchase of the Portuguese company. The proposal must be reached until 2 April.
The companies IAG, Lufthansa Group and Air France-KLM are the main bidders for 44.9% of TAP Air Portugal that remains in the hands of the Portuguese government.
