- On Monday, easyJet launched a complimentary sausage roll and dipping sauce trolley service for passengers departing from Newcastle International Airport, celebrating the airline's new base opening.
- Partnering with Greggs, a North East bakery chain, the airline established the base to accommodate three aircraft, supporting approximately 1,200 jobs. CEO Garry Wilson called it a perfect way to celebrate arrival.
- The promotion features five destination-inspired dipping sauces including Spicy Harissa Ketchup and Snappy Sangria, available at 30,000 feet, reflecting new routes to 22 destinations across Europe and North Africa.
- Beyond onboard service, Geordies access free samples through Wednesday, March 25, at city landmarks including Grey's Monument and the Tyne Bridge, extending the local activation.
- The Newcastle base now offers 86 flights weekly, an 85% capacity increase versus last summer, providing over 800,000 seats as the airline's 11th UK base.
