- Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo directed Comptroller-General Kemi Nandap to launch the effort as part of ongoing efforts to ease and streamline passport applications for diaspora citizens.
- Eligible applicants include new passport seekers, those with pending applications, and individuals holding passports with less than one year remaining; all must present completed application forms and proof of payment during enrolment.
- The Intervention Team will visit designated cities across the United Kingdom for enrolment sessions; the Nigerian High Commission will announce the detailed schedule, venues, and dates separately.
- Existing digital channels, including the Contactless Passport Application System, remain fully operational throughout the intervention; the NIS provided a WhatsApp-only line at +234 916 087 8000 for enquiries and complaints.
