Opening up a bus-only ramp to cars and instructing crews to work more hours are among the steps the City of Ottawa says it's taking to open up closed lanes on the 417 three weeks earlier than scheduled.

Drivers can now use the bus-only on-ramp from Woodroffe Avenue to the westbound Highway 417, as the City of Ottawa and Ministry of Transportation look to ease congestion in the west end.
