Hungary Allegedly Appeals Interpol Warrant Against Milorad Dodik

The Bosnian Criminal Court had requested an international arrest warrant against the leader of the Republika Srpska. Foreign Minister Meinl-Reisinger, who is expected to be in Sarajevo on Thursday, had also spoken out in favour of sanctioning Dodik.

After Interpol rejected the request to issue an international warrant for Milorad Dodik, the reactions in Bosnia and Herzegovina are different - both from politicians and legal experts.

Interpol has rejected the request of the Bosnian Federal Court, while also accepting Serbia's appeal, and will not issue international arrest warrants against Milorad Dodik, the President of the Republika Srpska of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Nenad Stevandic, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Serb-majority part of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, returned to Banja Luka this evening, and is currently a guest on RS Radio-Television, where he repeated that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić informed him that Interpol refused to issue a central warrant for him and RS Parliament Speaker Nenad Stevandić.
