The crew of an Airbus A-321 passenger plane heading from Tel Aviv to Prague failed to report to air traffic control over Hungarian territory on Thursday. Two Gripens were therefore scrambled from Kecskemét Airport to escort the civilian aircraft before it left Hungarian airspace.
The plane did not contact Hungarian air traffic control, and Hungarian fighter jets escorted it to the airspace border.
