Hundreds arrested and dozens of police injured after Champions League riots in France
French authorities said most supporters celebrated peacefully as 57 police officers were injured and one man died in a road accident during the unrest.

- Authorities had deployed 22,000 police officers nationwide, including 8,000 in Paris, anticipating unrest after riots marred the club's first title win last year. In that 2025 event, 201 people were injured and more than 500 arrests occurred across France.
- Vandals damaged storefronts and set fires, while 57 officers sustained injuries during the disturbances. Security forces seized two dozen flares and about 100 fireworks and cleared barricades made from bicycles near the Parc des Princes.

- PSG players will host a public celebration Sunday at the Champ de Mars, near the Eiffel Tower, where 85,000 to 90,000 fans are expected. The team will then meet French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace.
