SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Samford sophomore goalkeeper Peyton Hull was named the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Week when the league released its weekly women's soccer awards Tuesday afternoon. This marks the fourth time this season Hull has been named Defensive Player of the Week as she previously earned the honor on Sept. 9, Sept. 16 and Sept. 23. The RMAC conference announced their Offensive, Defensive and Setter of the Week awards Monday afternoon. Among the honorees was Ellie Thomas, who was named RMAC Defensive Player of the Week. It is the first RMAC weekly honor for a Yellow Jackets since Haedyn Rhodes won RMAC Defensive Player of the Week in week four of the 2020-21 season. This is Thomas' first ever RMAC award.
