50 years ago: St Columba's pupil brought adopted lamb into school (1975)

The nursery rhyme "Mary had a little lamb" came to life yesterday at St Columba's High School, Gourock when a pupil adopted a sheep.

As early as the 1960s, Lyon-Bron airport, too close to the Lyon agglomeration and unable to expand due to insufficient land reserves, proved unable to cope with the increase in air traffic. The project of a new airport to the east of Lyon is thus imagined. It will be Satolas, renamed Saint-Exupéry in 2000, which was inaugurated on 12 April 1975... 50 years ago.
