Baltimore City Council passes bill to tackle chronic absenteeism in city schools
A bill passed by the Baltimore City Council Thursday requires a study and report on the causes of chronic absences in city schools. Baltimore City Councilmember Mark Conway introduced the bill, Resolution 25-0002. Chronic absenteeism is defined as a student missing 10% or more of school.
