PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (WPRI) — A family was forced from their home in Portsmouth after a fire broke out Friday evening. Dispatchers received a 911 call around 4 p.m. from a neighbor who was walking by and saw flames, according to Assistant Fire Chief Howie Tighe.
