A significant portion of the county has been issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain

Flood alerts remain in place for rivers across Surrey as heavy rain fall hits the region.

A yellow weather warning for heavy rain has been issued until 10pm tonight. Officials have warned of flooding of some homes, businesses and roads across Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex and Surrey, as well as disruption to bus and train services.
