- Rome police commander Mario Sclavis told the Corriere Sera that the incident "discredits the image of the Corps and its officers." Sclavis's statement signals accountability concerns.
- Following the incident, Rome authorities have stepped up checks for future events to prevent similar disruptions, while Military and Police units expressed readiness to resume training for the June 2 national celebration.
