Double Homicide Investigation Launched After Man, Woman Found Shot Dead In Valley Home
ARNCLIFFE, SOUTHERN SYDNEY, JUL 15 – NSW Police have established a crime scene after an elderly couple were found deceased following a welfare check; the cause of death remains unknown as investigations continue.
- During a welfare check, NSW Police discovered two bodies inside a home on Knight Street in Arncliffe, around 2pm Tuesday, prompting investigations.
- Last week NSW Police responded to break-in reports at the same home, and bodies appeared to have been there undetected for some time.
- Inside the home officers found the man, believed in his 70s, and the woman, believed in her 90s, in separate rooms, both with fatal head wounds.
- A crime scene has been established, with investigations underway, and authorities urged anyone with information to contact Kogarah Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
- Next of kin are being notified and authorities have not yet released the victims' identities.
