The Hong Kong Observatory will invest in artificial intelligence to improve the prediction of extreme weather events, after the good results obtained during the recent record rains in August. The IA models, although not precisely identifying the points affected, have allowed to launch timely alerts. The goal is now also to enhance the forecast of path and intensity of tropical cyclones.
