Homicide investigation underway in downtown Clayton, suspect in custody at apartment

A person was arrested Monday morning in connection to a homicide investigation in Clayton.

Clayton Police investigate homicide

CLAYTON, N.C. (WPTF) – Clayton police are investigating a homicide that took place Monday morning (May 18). The incident occurred at the Heritage Court Apartments on East Main Street around 10 a.m. A suspect is in custody, but police have yet to release the name of that suspect or the victim. Police say there is no ongoing threat to the public.
